Garth Brooks is taking a break from his tour to make a stop at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.!

Why is country music legend Garth Brooks making the detour? Well, he’s set to help present the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor to former Tonight Show host Jay Leno on October 19th! The top honor recognizes people who have had an impact on American society through humor and social commentary. Jimmy Fallon, Jerry Seinfeld, Betty White and other celebrities will also honor Leno alongside Brooks.

You may recall that Brooks helped Leno bid farewell to the Tonight Show after 22 years as host back in February by performing “The Dance” and “Friends in Low Places.” Given the strong friendship between the storied entertainers, it’s no surprise that Brooks will play a lead role in this tribute.

Congrats, Mr. Leno!

The show will air nationally on PBS November 23rd.
