Since its inception in 1999 by Bo Mitchell and Garth Brooks, the Teammates for Kids Foundation has raised over $80 million to help children in over 60 countries around the globe. The idea behind the cause was to take sports statistics and convert those statistics into money benefiting children in need. Starting with baseball players, the foundation has grown to include over 3,000 professional athletes from baseball, hockey, football, soccer, basketball, racing, golf, and even pro rodeo! All funds go straight to the kids. Learn how YOU can be involved too...

The Concept is Simple, the Results Amazing.

To put it plainly, Teammates for Kids exists to do everything it can to aid kids in the areas of health, education, and inner-city outreach. The Foundation funds Child Life Zones for pediatric hospital patients, raises money for youth sports leagues, and pays for complicated facial and dental surgeries. In order for the organization to accomplish its goals, it relies on strong partnerships with professional athletes, corporations, and celebrities. Now, for the first time, individuals from the private sector can also donate and make a positive impact!

How Does the Teammates for Kids Foundation Work?

Professional athletes involved with Teammates for Kids generously donate based on performance levels in their sport. For example, a pitcher might pledge a donation for every strikeout, a quarterback for completions, a hockey goalie for saves, a basketball player for free throws, etc. Then, the Foundation’s Board, made up of Hall of Fame athletes, corporation owners, corporate officers, and entertainers, triples the amount donated by each athlete.

How exactly can 100% of the money go to the kids? When Teammates first began, Garth and a core group of professionals and generous individuals pledged to cover overhead costs. All advertising, payroll, and administrative costs are privately funded, so 100% of all money donated goes directly to the kids.

And now fans like YOU have an opportunity to join the team! Pledge money alongside your favorite athlete or sports team and Teammates for Kids will match it for even more money. As always, 100% of YOUR donation goes to the kids! That’s not a goal … it’s the rule!

Garth Brooks & Troy Aikman Team Up to Make a Greater Impact.

Back in 2002, Garth Brooks joined up with Troy Aikman and The Troy Aikman Foundation to support Child Life Zones. This partnership has brought focus to Teammates’ efforts in three main initiatives–children’s health, children’s education, and inner-city outreach. The zones are playrooms for kids within children’s hospitals where they can laugh, play, and just be kids! Child Life Zones are located across the United States from Atlanta, Georgia to Phoenix, Arizona.

Garth likes to say that children know no flags. Kids are kids, and they deserve the same things, no matter where they live or what their background may be. He is 100% correct.

Join Garth, Troy, and other dedicated Foundation supporters today and make a real difference in the lives of some deserving children!
