Fourteen years away from the stage and studio hasn’t done much to change Garth Brooks’ status as country music superstar. He’s sold out every show on the tour in record-shattering time. Brooks has dabbled in different genres in the past, we all remember the “Chris Gaines” rebirth. This time around in the spotlight, what is Brooks striving for musically?
“All I know how to do is be myself. That’s all I did in the ’90s and that’s all I’m doing now. For me, it’s not pop or country. It’s just Garth.”
So what exactly is “just Garth”? We shall all wait and see to find out. Don’t be surprised if his new material shys away from the traditional sounds of his 90’s hits.
“I’d be lying if I said I was not influenced by some of the talented kids, like Bruno Mars and Jason Aldean, but the last thing I’m going to do is chase anything.”
Garth Brook’s newest album will be released on November 11th.
According to Taste of Country, Brooks’ new album will be available digitally via the artist’s freshly minted GhostTunes digital music store.
